The Hockey City Classic, an outdoor college hockey doubleheader featuring four top programs, is scheduled for February 2013 at Chicago’s Soldier Field.
Notre Dame will play Miami and Minnesota will skate against Wisconsin during the outdoor event.

Not a fan of outdoor hockey. Too bad these four top clubs aren't playing in the United Center.......

People love the outdoor games, though. Besides, much higher earning potential there. Also makes you wonder if Chicago's trying to sneak their way into getting a second Winter Classic.

Have to wonder why the Steel haven't tried to coax their way into a game while the ice is up, personally.

People like outdoor hockey because it's different, it's an experience, and they almost surely never skated on a pond or makeshift outdoor rink.
