Not only was Dryden one of the best to ever play, he was one smart dude. Wouldn't play for the Canadiens unless they allowed him to attend college at the same time he played................. Indeed, times are so much different. Damn shame.
No, Bower and Howe weren't wusses. They were mens men who had enough respect not only for themselves as athletes and human beings, but for the sport and sporting itself.
