They are still up and going, of course under the CHL Moniker.
"The Komets will continue to be a member of the International Hockey League and participate in the Central Hockey League under the CHL moniker in the Turner Conference." Caution: Fans should watch out in particular for the return of Captain Komet.

Last night it directed me straight to the CHL website and now this morning it is directing me to a GoDaddy web page. Hmm...
