Muskies acquire Matt Jurusik from Bloomington. He played the last two seasons with the University of Wisconsin.

Interesting pick up to me since SC has Tomas Vomacka also coming in apparently.

Stars desperately need a goalie, unless the Colorado Avs draft pick on their protected roster is for sure coming.

I was thinking the same thing. Vomacka is a 5th Round NHL pick of the Preds.

Although Jurusik is reunited with Strand. Strand was an assistant coach Jurusik's 1st year in Madison

I just can't see either one of them wanting to split time. SC needed a backup behind Vomacka, but this is kind of a head scratcher. Maybe something changed with Vomacka coming in? I would also be very interested to see what SC gave up in this trade.

This is a good problem to have after spending a season without a starting goalie.

Um didn't your starting goalie from last year sign and NHL deal?

The guy 2 years ago didn't sign an NHL deal. We can still remember that season.

Chicago adds another Euro player

He's a 97 (will take an import and overager slot) RW and has 49 games in Liiga (Finland) which is pro. Also played with in a league called Mestis. Think that's pro too. http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=151897

Drafted by Fargo, so he must have had his rights traded to Bloomy. Nice move by Bloomy to protect him. http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=232966

The KeuPa HT are a semi-professional ice hockey team based in Keuruu, Finland. They are members of the second highest league in Finland, Mestis. The club was founded in 1995 in the Finnish fourth division II-Divisioona after the ice hockey club decided to part company with the Keuruun ball association. They play their home games in the Keuruu Ice Hall, which holds 1200 spectators. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KeuPa_HT

He was traded along with Jake Slaker, Butrus Ghafari and Mitch Slattery. Can't remember who Fargo got in return. I know I wasn't happy about the trade at the time.

It sure would be nice if you could enter his name in the ushl website and see all the transactions he was part of.

“The USHL Fall Classic always provides the ideal scouting opportunity for the management and scouts of the 31 NHL teams to view the top USHL talent available for the NHL Draft,” said Dan Marr, Director of NHL Central Scouting. “This year provides an even more unique opportunity with all 17 USHL teams participating in one location. The Fall Classic serves as an important evaluation benchmark for players heading into the 2018 NHL Draft, and we are pleased that this successful event is part of a growing partnership between the USHL, NHL and Pittsburgh Penguins.”

I understand you're frustrated, but this event seems more focused for scouts now than the typical ushl fan....

Which is real good for the players and great for fans that can make it. I like seeing the improvements over the course of the season.

Yep, this has been a problem since I followed the league except for the short time the league had that guy a couple yrs back that posted on Twitter every move that was made. Don't remember his name but the guy was excellent. My single most favorite change since I started following the league but that too has gone by the wayside.

Jrs with all the turnover is soooooo difficult to follow even for a hard core. Why the league wouldn't prioritize helping in that regard I'll never understand.

Thanks, that solves the mystery.

Sure is a great find, thank OS!! Wonder how accurate? Shows Finnish 17yr old goalie Oskar Autio playing for the Steel in the FC.

This has been out in the public since late June. Rumour is he was not going to make Tri City roster for 17-18.

Don't know the source of your rumour - seems like the opposite situation occured - a big loss for Tri City. On line comments were - immediate impact player for 2017 and will be a top foward. The kid was a 2018 commit to SLU before signing with the greyhounds.

2 things.

One is came straight from horses mouth. The decision was made prior to the under 17 Buffalo camp.

Two if you are a 4.0 student and you have a commitment to SLU do you throw all of that hard work away for a chance in the OHL if you made Tri City?
