Hawks with 3-4 shots and their PP looked dangerous but Fargo and Bischel kill it............

Bowers in alone short handed, save, back the other way Force's Paginelli takes a trip.   End of Force PP, and we'll see about 1:25 of PP time for the Hawks.

Fargo better stay out of the box, that Hawk PP looks ready to pop.

Period ends 1-0.  Loo will have 40 seconds of PP time to start the 3rd.   WTL lead 14-12 SOG in the period and leads 25-19 through 2.

Loo makes it 2-0 at 18:40 of the 3rd.   A very nice in close 2-3 save sequence for Bischel, puck finds its way to the left point, Samberg shot pass 4 feet wide, Bowers nicely redirects it in off the post with one skate on the right circle... Zero chance for Bischel.

For all but a couple stretches the Hawk forecheck has stymied the Force.   Everything is contested and if they don't get hemmed in the first pass is off the mark enough where there is no flow or the Hawks knock it down in the neutral zone.   If the Force get the attack blueline the Dmen are standing them up right there.

Nicely done by the Hawks in all 3 zones so far.

10:00 into the 3rd and the Force have 2 shots......... Think it's about time for the Force Dmen to activate and get deep once the Force gain the zone.   Gotta generate something somehow.

With 6:23 left, Force down 2, having taken 2 shots in the period, Crone takes a cross check to the back of a Hawk at the end wall about 1 second after the puck left the Hawk players' stick.

Force outshoot em 40-24 and win the series.   The Adams-Lizotte-Crone line led the league in points but were held without a point in the series.

5 shots in the 3rd period of an elimination game down by a score of 2-0 isn't going to get it done.

It was actually Waterloo that had the 40 shots and Fargo with 24.  Waterlloo shut down Fargo all nice, never really let them hold possession.  When Fargo did get chances they were short lived and cleared to center, no length of possession.  Bischel played a heck of a game to keep them at 2, making a bunch of big saves, look forward to another year of watching him. The first two games of the series were very competitive, this game was completely controlled by Waterloo.  They got to every loose puck and took Fargo off the puck every time they had a chance.  Well played game by Waterloo.  Good luck to them in the 2nd round.

Obvious typo but for those who didn't follow the game thanks for the correction.   WTL outshot, outplayed and out executed the Force.  Force didn't mail it in or give a poor effort in Game 3 they were just outdone.

IMO it started with the Loo forecheck which was switched up in game (1 man, 2 man, 3 man) as a PK Waterloo team is known to do.  Nothing ever got triggered and no pace/flow originating from the Force zone.

In Forum/Chris Murphy   Force swept out of playoffs by Waterloo

"It was a series of momentum," Fargo coach Cary Eades said. "Obviously, the first game was key. They were able to make a comeback and win it in overtime and grab momentum of the series. We fought back hard in Game 2 and couldn't tie it up.

"I thought both teams were emotionally drained tonight. There was tired minds, tired bodies on both sides. They were able to get two goals to give them life. We couldn't buy a goal."
